- By submitting an artwork, you are stating your ownership over and creation of it.
- Your contribution will be uploaded to our website and made freely available for anyone to download and print. People are not allowed to use the posters or what they represent for any commercial purposes. If someone wants to use the posters to raise funds, they should always contact you, the artist, first. Only with your approval is this allowed.
- You can choose to submit your artwork anonymously or be featured on the website with your full name and nationality/origins.
- Don’t post the artwork on your instagram using our tag until we’ve responded to your email and approved your submission.
- We do our best to respond to your email as quickly as possible, but please be patient. It will take days to hear back from us.
- We do our best to feature as many submitted artworks as possible on our Instagram page, but we can’t guarantee every piece will be posted. We kindly ask that you do not message us to ask if or when your artwork will be posted.
- We ask for a clear message supporting a free Palestine. Use a strong message, name it as it is: settler colonialism, genocide, a brutal occupation, … and/or call people to action. We don’t just need eyes on Palestine, we need hands on Israel’s neck.
- Make sure to deliberately choose your slogan and statement, not all slogans apply only to Gaza and not all slogans apply to the whole of Palestine. We also urge you as artists to focus on all atrocities being committed by the Zionist entity, e.g. the atrocities being committed in the West Bank or the attacks on Lebanon, Syria, etc.
- We fully understand the focus on the atrocities committed against Palestinian children, however we do not want to spread a limited narrative. All Palestinian people deserve this focus so please, alongside Palestinian children, include Palestinian men, Palestinian women, Palestinian elders and more.
- If you’re adding Arabic slogans, please make sure you’re a native speaker or have them checked by someone who is.
- If your artwork includes numbers, add the date to it. This helps ensure the artwork remains accurate and relevant over time.
- We only accept self-created artwork and do not accept AI-generated pieces or designs made using tools like Canva.
- We focus on digital artwork with high quality, suitable for printing in sizes ranging from A4 to A0. We can only consider non-digital work if the quality is very high.
- Solely writing the slogan ‘ceasefire’ on your artwork is not enough. A ceasefire is not enough. We want a free Palestine, the end of settler colonialism, the end of the brutal occupation, land back, the end of Zionism, …
- Don’t make the message too lighthearted or playful, seeing how dire the situation is.
- Don’t include the Golan Heights when you portray the map of Palestine. The Golan Heights are a part of Syria that Israel annexed, it’s not part of Palestine.
- We don’t accept artwork with the David star, unless being used in the Zionist flag. We are anti-Zionist, we do not spread an antisemitic narrative.
- We do not accept posters naming Israel as a ‘state’. Please refer to it as a (Zionist, terrorist, colonial, or …) entity.
- The name of the files should be @ + the name of your instagram account. If you want to stay anonymous, you can just write ‘anonymous’ as a filename.
- When you send multiple posters/coloring pages/stickers, send them as separate pdf-files.
Posters & coloring pages
We need 2 formats of the poster/coloring page:
- A PDF-file in format A4 (21 x 29,7 cm or 8,3 x 11,7 inch) of max 8 MB. On this A4-poster, our instagram name (@flyers_for_falastin) should be written in small letters. This makes it easy for people to find our page and print more posters themselves.
- A PNG-file or JPG-file of your poster/coloring page that can be used to post on Instagram (3:4 ratio; 4:5 ratio; 1:1 ratio or 1.91:1 ratio).
Please make sure they are the correct formats!
Stickers
- The format needs to be a png- or pdf-file in a resolution of max 8 MB
- You can choose the shape of the sticker.
- The file has to have a transparent background.
